Hi Team, T. A Cunningham is finally eligible to play his first game vs Newport Harbor on Friday.

T.A. is the 6', 6", 268 # 4-Star DT that USC supposedly has the inside track at signing him.

He plays with two teammates at Los Alamitos high school, QB Malachi Nelson and Athlete/ WR Makai Lemon, who are committed to USC. T. A. is only a junior and is so dominant that he already has 50 offers. If you live in OC you may wish to watch him play. OC is El Doctors stomping grounds and he will probably be at the game. Right SC?

CIF seems too much like the NCAA to me.

A bunch of bullshit rules that Mater Dei has never had problems getting around.

If the kid moved from another state and starts school no matter what time of the year it is and wants to play any sport. It should be none of the CIF's bidness.

Kid's parents get transferred from all kind's of reasons, all the time. Family's have health emergencies all the time. Some kids have to attend a couple different schools every year all the time.

And yet. I swear. Kids baseball team. D7 or whatever. Small schools. Recruiting campus kids-players to have a team. Had to sit a German kid for half the year who didn’t even know the right hand to wear the glove on. All due to some arcane rule.

so When It appeared they had to drop the program the cif was asked about the kids who couldn’t play ball anymore. Could they play for a neighboring school? Anything? Nope. They could only play if they transfered to a school with their sport and sat half the season because they’d played the year before. Couldn’t stay at their old school.

and Yeah. Bryce young decides he wants to be the qb at Mater Dei before his senior year and does it. That easy. I saw travel baseball kids I coached wind up at Gardena Serra and others with no restrictions. One went to 3 schools in one year. Victorville. Serra. Then oak hills. Never missed a game. Of course he was black. And now apparently gay. So shoot. Surprised they didn’t offer Him a car.

Here’s another. Cif splits a league because some charter schools grew too big. Exploded to 1500 kids. While some privates stayed under 100. No way they should be in same division right? Cif was supposed to drop small schools to d7 and move the larger schools to d5. But surprise. They reversed that. Put the tiny schools in d5 and larger in d7. When their error was pointed out they said no changes. Based on how the trams does at these new levels over the next 2-3 years we will decide. Just ruined severa kids competitive careers

If I knew which lawyer to have called I’d have considered it myself but we were right in the middle of the season or right before it. Just the lack of explanation. Lack of rationale. Lack of appeal process or discussion. As said. Just violence inducing.
