USC Football: Weather report at Arizona
USC Football: Weather report at Arizona (reignoftroy.com)
USC Football takes on Arizona for their Week 9 contest this season. It's an Arizona team that's also coming off of a bye week. They're 3-4 on the year, while SC doubles that win total at 6-1. It should be a piece of cake for the Trojans, but there's no such thing as a piece of cake when taking on a conference opponent on the road.
The weather, however, should be perfect. In classic fall Arizona fashion, the low isn't going to be cold and the high isn't going to be hot. It'll be a great night to play and watch some football. According to The Weather Channel, the low is going to be 53 degrees Fahrenheit, and the high is going to be at 79.
Don't bother counting on any rain. There's a zero percent chance of precipitation. It's going to be exactly like what anyone would expect an October 29th football game against U of A to be like. SC doesn't have to run the ball due to cold weather, but they likely will regardless. RB1 Travis Dye is averaging 6.4 yards per carry. He's also ran for seven touchdowns already.
SC as a whole is 19th in the FBS with 5.4 yards per carry. They've been truly terrific on the ground. The offensive line is quite responsible for that, as they were named to the 2022 Joe Moore Award Midseason Honor Roll for their dominant performance to this point. This is even with Lincoln Riley not running as much as he likely should be…
