I think so. Carroll ran cover two. I think out of a 4-3. Grinch runs a gap control D and runs kind of a funky 3-4 or 2-5. But they both did really well at taking great athletes who don't fit into a normal scheme and putthing them in positions where their size or speed can create mismatches.

They also are or were good at taking undermanned Defenses and making them opportunistic. Carrolls first defenses had poor talent and depth so he took a lot of chances. Got turnovers or sacks. Grinch does that. PC could afford to give up points because he had Carson and Keary Colbert and Mike Williams. Kasparov can afford it because well. You think anyone can keep up with this offense?
