QB-Miller Moss has had lots said about him I have nothing to add. He's the guy and we will see how far a system guy can go.
WR-the four freshmen were fabulously fantastic. Throw in Hudson and Singer and Trojans are fine here. I am sure they have a couple young guys coming in, but Lemon, Robinson, Branch, Lane all are so different. They really cover every speed and body type, giving USC a lot to build on. Glad Willims is gone. Will miss Rice and Taj. Reed-glad to get the scholarship back.
TE-think Mc Cree wqas hurt in the Holiday bowl and USC doesn't use the position much. Think they have a couple guys coming in. Think two guys bailed, and probably rightfully so. Mc Cree is functional, and am sure they can find a suitable backup.
RB-Is Jones leaving? Messy State kid looks good and the young guys need some carries to keep them around. Question mark spot.
OL-Paige was the surprise star. Will Monheim stay or go and would he want to stay as a guard? Pregnon Returns. If he WANTS to, RS Senior Quinones could return for one more year. Possibly two. If he's granted a medical redshirt for this year I think he could have two years left. He's a guard. Mason Murphy is another guard thought can play tackle. Not sure if 6'5 is correct but if so he has the body for tackle. Not sure who else they have but those are 5 bodies that return. I think with Taraquin, Kingston and last year the kid from Virginia, Bobby Haskins USC has not done well with transfer OL and with Henson approaching his 3rd year at USC I think it's time to see some of his new guys and what he is doing with them.
Riley will be the OC and QB coach. Henson returns. Who cares who the WR or TE coach is. I think the RB coach returns. They really only need 4 coaches on offense, 3 besides Riley.
I feel pretty good about this offense going into next year and am curious aobut the RB performance from various new guys. Think USC has questions about depth at WR, TE, QB and OL but the starters look pretty solid IMO there and I think the holiday bowl showed that.
Louisville was the #14 rush defense in the nation, and I think 15 overall. All their dogs were there for the bowl, so USC's performance is a very credible showing. I like where this offense stands and expect that from a RIley team. They just need a few more bodies.
👍🏻✌️
Riley said the McCree injury which happened in practice was the worst football injury he had ever seen ..based upon that I wuldn't count on McCree next season.
