as Lee Corso says “not so fast my friend,” a lot depends on who is running those short passes, Colorado or USC. We have the personnel to run those plays successfully and pull Utah out of taking away the medium to deep pass routes. JMHO we will find out Saturday
You can be sure Utah is going to do something to shore up their rushing defense. Whether or not they'll be successful, who knows? But I think USC is going to be able to torch them through the air, which will be more beneficial in the long run.
USC needs to keep the Utah offense out of their element, which is killing time with long drives that end in points. They won't be able to do that if USC gets a two or three-score lead. So the trojies need big plays, often. That's how UCLA was able to beat the Utes.
Actually …. that’s what our defense needs to look for.
Most of Rising’s passes never went more than 10 yds vs UCLA. And they ran an incredible amount of screens.
It’s not a fancy offense, just effective.…but stoppable.
CLR runs slip screens and bubble screens, but few regular screens w pulling linemen.
Not sure what you mean by basic.
That won’t work vs the Utes. They’ll blow up those plays.
Absolutely take what the defense gives. Eventually they will come out of it then go downfield. Caleb has to be ppppaaaattttiiiieeeennnntttt
