At the level of their drafting you don't even need to be good. Just take the safe pick everyone else wants. Don't even take the flier. Take the safe first rounder. The boring DT or ol who will toil in obscurity and quietly make a few pro bowls.
Rinse and repeat with all their years of failure and you have talent all over the roster. I assume that's what happened to both teams. Wife is magically a lions fan again.
