The two west coast teams. Oregon probably has more support here given their Conference.

I gather that just about everyone here is rooting for Oregon or ASU

You gathered wrong.
I have never rooted for any team other than SC out of some sense of conference affinity. In fact, I wish SC teams didn't have to wear a conference logo patch on their uniforms. I would root for Oregon or ASU in a particular game only if I thought their winning would directly benefit SC. Since that ain't the case in these playoffs, I'm not "rooting" for anyone, except that I'd like to see the Domers eliminated just as a matter of principle.
I wouldn't assume that necessarily.
It's fun to hate the quacks these days, and I get that.
Back when it was USC vs Texas for all the marbles in the BCS days of 2006, I had money on Texas (placed shortly after the Michigan-Texas Rose Bowl of 2005) on a futures bet for Texas to win the whole enchilada the following season.
So back then I was not rooting for a USC victory, but nothing against the Trojans necessarily. I think the smart money is on tOSU winning the Rose Bowl, so I wouldn't doubt if some on here took the buckeyes and gave a few points.
Even though Washington beat my quacks 3 times in a row, it's tough to beat any team 2x in a row. So I don't blame anyone for putting money on tOSU - especially after their beat-down of Tennessee.
Oregon has a lot to prove on January 1st....hoping they can do it, but also not totally confident. I expect my quacks to start out slow after 3.5 weeks off, big advantage to tOSU.
In the long run if Oregon can get by tOSU, they will be better set up for success not having had to play the additional game that tOSU will have to play. But the key will be to start out strong and not fumble around for the first 1-2 quarters of the Rose Bowl....
It’s all about the money, Vista. Do my odds improve by rooting for Ore or ASU?
Both are underdogs.
