Hell, most teams are wannabes. How many different teams have won the National Championship in the past 30 years? Probably fewer than 10, maybe 12.

EDIT: I looked it up. The answer is 15. A lot of teams have won more than once during that time period. Still not that many teams.

Bruin fans have been demanding Chip get fired last two years. They will come back to demands next year when they lose DTR, Bobo, and Charbenux

I think the difference is Mike Bellotti handed Chip the keys to a Porsche.

Jim Mora handed Chip the keys to a Volkswagen.

Chip then, very slowly, put a Ferrari body on the Volkswagen, and **voila** 5 years later we have what we have today in Westwood: A kit car that looks good and performs well.

The good news for Bruin fans is that kit cars can be performance cars (see: Lotus, Shelby Cobra, etc.)

And might even be able to take on a rusting, aging Trojan muscle car far from its heyday in the '60s. 😉
