ESPN and the NFL Network will replay the 2 plays he made vs UCLA as some kind of showcase.
Here's the truth - one sack came against Dulcich who has trouble blocking anyone, much less a good college DE. Not sure what Kelly was thinking on that play. The sack/strip came against Alex Anderson who had left the game earlier with a bad ankle and had just returned to the game. Anderson was about 70%. Thibideaux was shutout vs. Rhyan. In 2 games vs. Rhyan - 0 sacks and 0 pressures. The Michigan kid is the real deal. Thibideaux will be another Clowney (41 career sacks in 8 years).
kid is a head case. good luck with that. sc
Good point.
If You can only play “half” the plays or you have a weakness they will find it.
I wonder if he could be a Willie McGinist hybrid type LB/DE? He looks the part much more than most.
The NFL knows how to play "Deau", you run at him and pancake him on every play. He will quit. Running away from him and leaving him unblocked does not work with his speed. The NFL knows this. They have seen overrated end rusher before.
You were right. He didnt play. My bad. Oregons D was awesome that game. Impressive.
Yeah this production/availability below doesn’t scream #1 pick to me. You can’t miss with a #1. Lots of zero‘s there In his game log.
Thought he played? Maybe key downs only??? Pretty sure he did.
If he didn’t Thats embarrassing LOL.
Maybe LA Duck can arbitrate here.....
Thibideaux and Flowe missed the Ohio State game. Not sure who you were watching.
Burrow is not just a stats guy, which is key.
Interesting.
Yep a good DE should blow up any TE. Would be interesting if you could track sacks vs an OL vs a TE. I think it would be a telling stat.
I thought Thibs was overrated the first time I saw him. When he was a FR. Not too many scarecrow builds starring in the NFL. Dude has pins for legs.
But he beat the crap out of Alijah Vera Tucker in the P12 Championship game who was still The #16 overall draft pick in NFL draft that year & who has had a very good rookie season this year....although he is much better run blocker vs pass protector.
And thought he beat the crap out of Ohio State in one of the few games he actually played in this year.
Ducks beat the living shit out of DTR that game. sacks or hits all
add up. Was surprised DTR kept getting up but I do remember he didn’t finish the last drive. Not sure how many hits he had
on DTR that game but Thibs shined or at least the defense did.
You Maybe right. I’ve seen Thibs look like Superman a few times so just not sure. Hard to live up to the overall #1 pick status tho So probably a safe bet. He isn’t a Myles Garett, JJ Watt talent IMO either.
You just called a Heisman trophy winner, the #1 overall draft pick and the all time #14 NFL passer not a real QB. So there is that.
