We would think. I think the usc offense failed 4th down. Repeated penalties. 3 fumbles. Punts. Think it gave Asu a lot more opportunities than a solid usc offensive
you can tell they didn't tackle during the bye. Same mistake they made last year. Look for the tackling to spiral the toilet from here on out. Riley isn't that good of a coach. He's had a run of really talented qbs, that's it. Otherwise, he's not special.
Agree with the criticism of the offense. They still are playing to pack CW's stats; there is no cogent offensive philosophy. Players that should be riding the pine (wr williams) are starting when more deserving players (tahj) get few targets. This needs to be a run first offense a la notre dame and become much more physical.
offense isn't SC's problem. I have no idea how this defense is going to handle a power running game like Utah, ND. or even utla. Grinch doesn't seem to understand contaiment.
This jc kid for asu last night had zero moves. He's an undersized fullback and he used SC's defense to clean his cleats. Just ran over them. What will the big boys do? sc
While I throw out some of the defensive lapses due to the street ball ASU was playing early, they still can't tackle, contain or defend the pass consistently.
It was also clear that the offense was out of sync from the jump. I was at the game and you could see Caleb's agitation pre-snap. Caleb was also in the medical tent twice and I wonder what was up with him. He wasn't himself most of game either. Which is funny to say when he still played damn good.
The reality is that 2-3 losses are coming this year.
Piss poor performance, period. CLR is not going to happy happy with that horseshit he saw on the field today. So disappointed I dont feel like arguing. 👍
Gained 535 yards, rushed for over200 and averaged 8.9 yards per play . I think we put the game away early if we run the ball more but sometimes LR gets pass happy.
In the third quarter we had a 3rd and 3 inside the 10. Instead of running the ball we throw and end up turning the ball over on downs. Perfect time to run the effing ball on 3rd down. ASU couldn't stop our run
If they let them play with 12 players.
Offense was out of sync and we still score 42. Maybe we are getting a little spoiled. Oh and we have had problems in the past with ASU in Tempe. This was the bowl game. They suck and yet sold the game

Agree we could have run for 300 yards if we ran more. 0 is a load.
Riley IMO kept trying to throw to get Caleb's confidence up when the run game was there for SC all night.
?!?!

I just saw Grinch and all of those turds coming out of the press box. PATHETIC. And, I told him.
The D came up clutch at times tonight. Eight sacks in the second half IIRC.
