in seeing Alabama play Georgia again in the playoffs.
They certainly are NOT going to be interested in watching them play again in the championship game. The general public will be even less interested .
At the end of the day, College Football is just a Television show. It's a bidness. If it weren't for the fans, the players wouldn't get go pretend to do to college, and audition for an NFL paycheck.
There was a time when bands put on concerts to sell records, and believe it or not, prices to see just about anyone were not out of reach of your average joe. Times change ...Records, tapes, cd's etc are now obsolete.
It's been a long time when College football was about selling tickets. It's a TV show. It's about sponsors. Low ratings means advertises won't pay as much, which means less money to the NCAA and participating schools. The only people in the country interested in an SEC rematch are in the low tv market south.
The championship game will have record low viewership . Good luck with that. sc
I will not be that interested in the game. As a whole, I am not as invested in college football at the moment with all of transfer portal and NLI stuff. I was hoping Cincy or Michigan would have won at least one of their games but watching another regular season type SEC matchup doesn't do much for me.
The Utah vs disinterested Ohio St Rose will have more viewers ... proof the Pac and Big 10 should just do their own thing
The playoffs are corrupt; there was more honesty in the old system.
It will be hard pressed to beat the 14 the LSU-Bama rematch had which was one of the lowest of the BCS era…USC-Tex was a 21.7 the highest of the BCS/CFP era by far
Interested to see what the ratings will be compared to previous games for the natty.
