No, Alabama won big largely because Saban was a once in a generation type of coach. There is no doubt that DeBoring won't do nearly as well. But his chances of getting the resources and the personnel that he needs at Alabama will always be much greater then what he would have gotten at Washington.

Unless the guy is a total fraud, which I don't think he is, his ceiling at Alabama is much higher than at Washington.

I am indifferent, just like I did with Sark, but back then, there was still some resemblance of college football. I have said I will follow, go to games and watch them at home for away games but it isn't that important nowdays.
