Where you find them and how you train them...he said he of course looks at HS players but he likes TE's...he ikes their athleticism, their quickness and how well they move their feet. He said it's not that difficult to add 30-40 pounds and get a really good left tackle and said many LT's in the NFL started out as TE's....and said he likes the kids to be 6'4" and taller....
When he said that I think about all the talent at USC at TE that is wasted...perhaps their maybe a kid wanting to see the field and is looking for a change....
reminds me of when Hackett's o line guy showed up with a yard stick ( to show the proper spacing ) and the rah rahs went nuts with glee.
Always want a more athletic guy. I would have preferred if he said he was looking for guys that weren't soft. sc
Oh boy. 162 whiffed so badly at recruiting beef he's stuck moving Helton's TEs to LT? What a fucking joke. FU BOHNED.
SKI ON!
Sure refreshing to have people in charge with a solid plan and sound reasoning to support it.
Sure seems like LRs approach to hiring his staff is the same as his approach to recruiting.
