Looks like a nice place to visit. I hear the food isn't good though. That would be deal killer.
if you don't like cabbage and potatoes with butter (Colcannon)
or you preffer a lot of flavor from spices
Irish cuisine might be a pass for you
everyone seems to like Soda Bread
Blood Sausage not so much
don't be put off by the so called Irish Stew, Boxty, or Coddle
pretty sure you will find them 'ok' at the very least
you can always find fish and chips or a 'paki' (Indian) restaurant
or better still, Italian or Thai cuisine in the larger towns
LOL
shorten all that to "Bloody Hell!"
Scouse, Cockney, and Gaelic are a thing
then there's Scottish, Manx, and West Country
Lmao. That's exactly what I'm talking about.
no doubt you're tuned in to the Public School or BBC accents
Public School is the accent and dialect of the upper class in the UK
think Boris Johnson or Benedict Cumberbatch
Guy Ritchie movies, not so much
You don't like boiled meat?
Modern Itish cuisine is a "thing". They emphasize fresh fish, local produce, and local cheeses. there some fine whiskey too.
I can do all of that. And enjoy it.
That's the secret . Apparently.
