He‘s been an absolute stud these last two games. I get argument he is not the pass catcher Dye is but from just a running the rock perspective he is something else.
He’s not as good in pass pro but like you I’m very pleased to see his running
I wonder how much of that is scheme or ol or him. Brown doesn’t get the same production so we will credit Jones.
usc lined up their te in the backfield several times almost as a fb or h back so it’s clear they saw the need to give a little help where dye could handle things by himself
They’re both great and have helped the teams run game immensely. I think Dye is the more complete back with his pass protection and catching skills, bit both are excellent hard nosed runners who are patient and use their blocks well to find seams. I like both of them. Best tandem since Reggie and Lendale although they were different types of backs. We hit the jackpot in the transfer portal with these two.
as a runner, yes. All around, emphasizing the pass blocking, Dye was probably the choice there (by another ex-qb who doesn't prioritize the run game early).
Two damn good backs who will make NFL rosters. Special team players in the nfl.

Dye was 162's "guy". Competition in practice isn't 162's specialty, yet.
