I was thinking the same thing, only I didn't want to post it. It wouldn't be the first time the pressure got to a coach.

To be honest, I think the media is overreacting a hell of a lot. I know the expectations at USC are about as high as expectations can get, and I know that you don't stay in the kitchen if you can't stand the heat, particularly when you're making ridiculous money. But seriously, the media is talking about the guy like he burned down an orphanage or something. And that's not to mention much of the fanbase.

Look, I get it. The defense is pretty shitty. And his offensive game plans seem to lack, well, a plan. USC has the talent to be doing better. But I swear some people would kill the guy if given the opportunity.

There are really some demented Trojan fans on this board. What I think is irrelevant but CLR's biggest mistake was turning the program around in one year with a Heisman award winner. . Instead of thanking him for the great job last year the critics after 2 loses are baying for his hide. People fail to realize this was more than a one year rebuild. Both our offensive and defensive lines need to be upgraded. CW masked a lot of those problems last year. Everybody needs to relax. Both loses were to borderline top 10 teams, not a directional school.

But what do I know. Unlike most of the Riley critics, who I assume were high level football coaches, I never coached.
