Two Five star linemen just joined the Transfer Portal from the University of Georgia. Amarius Mims and Clay Webb both have 3 years of seasons of playing availability.
Mims is in a NIL battle between Florida St and Miami...recruiting today is like playing poker...better have a large bank role to play for every decent player out there whether it be a portal kid or a HS kid....USC is going to be outbid on a lot of these kids until they organize for the cash flow. Oregon has that nailed by a wide margin on the west coast..
@August West wholeheartedly agree. The transfer portal should align with draft eligibility. If you decide you want to try out the draft and don't get selected, you can then transfer to another school. Or if you just want to simply transfer, you can do so in your junior year.
But these kids getting to school and then opting out by the end of spring or fall camp of their freshman year is absurd.
Wow, Mims seems like the bigger upside.… So they both have 3 yrs of eligibility left? I looked up both players. Mims was a true fresh in 2021. Webb‘s been in Athens for 3 full seasons, but didn’t play at all last year..??? Limited play in ‘19 and ‘20. F it, let’s take em both…. And that WV LBer.
