I like it. All those years in the NFL he’s seen it all. I bet he knows how to cover a fucking tight end. As a lb coach you need that arrogant asshole persona. Players reflect that. And we need to add some hgh to the training table.

Not what we were expecting. Big Surprise and kinda a let down. Famous name, comes from a family of solid coaches (Dad and brother). Mucho experience but let's see if he can recruit and relate to kids (NFL huge difference vs College & recruiting). At 63 yrs old, does he have the energy to pound doors & phone 24/7 in the recruiting game?
USC needs 2-3 starter type LB's from the TP, but most of the top players have committed to other schools. Dam it.
PS. Shoot, he needs a nice, clean hair cut. Long hair is out and not appropriate for a college coach.

Whoa. It’s going to take some time to process this. Definitely a “WOW “ hire, I’m just not sure if it’s the good wow or the WTF wow. I don’t know if recruiting matters beyond the check anymore, can this guy coach? Recruiting the top talent is about nil, coaching up the other guys matters and I have to believe he has learned that in 20 nfl seasons. I would think his nfl pedigree will get recruits attention beyond the nil check. Not to mention the guy has great hair, the cameras will be on him on the sidelines for sure.
We will have a schematic advantage.

Ok so usc is trying a different tactic here. Ryan is being hired to appeal to kids grandparents. Who are also obese and smoke 3 packs a day. USC covers every angle
