You do realize, of course, that FINALLY a true national champion in football has to play more than 1 or 2 games to win it all, yes?
IF Oregon wins it, they will have to play and beat at least 3 solid playoff teams like Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama, tOSU, ND, etc.....
When has a national champion EVER faced such a stiff challenge before?
If IF Oregon wins it, it will be unarguably the most earned national championship in the history of all college football. Whoever wins it, will be the most notable champion ever.
If Oregon doesn't win it, that's the way it goes - the team will lace up their cleats and try again next season.
But, yeah, Oregon should give up football rather than a team that paid $110M for 10 years for a coach who in 3 years went 11-3, 8-5, 6-6? 🤣 This sequence begs a 4-8 season in 2025.
Oregon needs to win the NC this year. If they can't, they should just give up football.
