plenty of scrambling qb's have had bad injuries. Ask Joe Theisman. I will be the first to say "mea culpa, OH" if this guy is at his Heissman session on two feet next year. My guess, his OL will still suck and it will catch up with him.
@trobob absolutely...if he had been scrambling he might have not been injured like he was....if a QB can scramble and run in the NFL they sure in hell can scramble and run in CFB.......seems like a couple of them made it all the way to the playoffs...and the draftnicks seem to approve of mobile QB's that can create...which is a big swing from the statues they used to covet..
@OldHickoryTrojan the point is...even scrambling qb's can get injuted, especially if the line sucks....but like I said, I will be first to congratulate you if he lasts 12 games. Got my doubts. We still hsve a substandard line.
There is a huge difference between one QB that stands in quicksand holdihg the ball to throw and another QB who thinbks he's a fullback when he runs and is not either quick or fast versus a QB tht can scramble, dart and has the speed to breakaway....and an offense that wants an athletic QB and one that doesn't. Lastly Darnold who had none of the physical ability of CW lived with an OL that was even worse then the one CW will have and he made USC's offense pretty darn good.... IMHO....
USC's offensive problems last year were they still couldn't put points up with Harrell's playcalling in the red zone and lapses whe the defense the opponents had adjusted....and the guy was to hard headed to change...
@August West USC offense last year averaged over 450 yards a game....andyet in the red zone couldn't do shet...an offense that just can move the ball between the 20's...is shet and Harrell ran his offense and called the plays...he sucked....and if you think his offense looked like the Gomer offense...it didn't both had terrible playcalling, specialist that gave the plays away every time they entered the game. But Helton is gone and Zharrell is gone...they both didn't deserve to be coaching at USC...Harrell gets no free ride...
Awesome news. Gosh, I'm so surprised after Gonzagapedo had the the firm information that Folt kept him from enrolling personally. Made the firmness wasnt his news but instead its the rock solid stool backed up into his brain.
well, he's better than Dart. Mostly because he can move better. Which gives him a better chance of surviving SC's O line. Slovis started holding onto the ball way too long. Dart tried to man up with defenders and got squashed. Odds of CW going down with a concussion is only 80 percent. sc
@San Clemente USC’s offensive kine only allowed 18 sacks last year. It was not the disaster that everyone says it was and will be better with more experience and a quarterback with mobility and dare I say it better coaching. You need to decide whether you want USC to be successful or would rather be right. I get the impression you will be disappointed if USC is successful next year. You need to decide if you want to be a Trojan or right. As for me next year is going to be a fun year if nothing else
@firenze5 he’s always disappointed if usc is successful and tries to play both sides. Both attacking usc and their staff. While claiming he wants them to succeed. Now he’s got 162 or so he calls Riley. Clearly “support”. Called Carroll “checkers” because others were playing chess and Pete was playing checkers. This is why chlamydia is known as a double headed diLdo. Thank you for the reminder of why
It was worth the wait. This should open the flood gates for recruits. We should poach UM llineman if Jim is off to the Vikings.

with the OL he will be in back of....they are reserving him a room at Cedars Hospital...

Huge news. No wonder Jaxson Dart left. Slovis was already off to Pitt
Why would CW commit to Riley and register for classes before talking to me or ESPN?
What a prima donna!
*rolls eyes*
Thanks for the update
That check took longer to clear than expected.
