Java, who's idea was this?

The idea for change came to Java very quickly -- in less than 2 seconds actually. And as you know, you can go from happiness into the crapper in less than 2 seconds -- notcha know. 😎

Partly. It's also the world of FB and IG and all that. We are all getting old. Online forums die off. The old format was full of viruses and Java Jr said it wasn't worth his time anymore. Also recognize no fans at games. Off season. There are some very cool features here. And I appreciate your chiming in. I know you don't always. I prefer the old format too but there are a few cool things here. One is that now when people post off topic? I can keep the quality post and move it to a new board. Couldn't do that before. You can also post pictures straight from your phone here. So it's not all bad.

The problem with the current board is that you don't have a clear picture of what you've already read or what you want to read. It's very user unfriendly that way. You have to re-click on a lot of posts, not efficient.

True, the old board was a dinosaur. But I'd take a T-rex over a Cockapoo at this point. And would likely win any battle between the two hands down.

And honestly, I don't see any really new blood. Just a big absence of lots of long-time contributors from the old site.

But it's what we have....and it's Java's baby. Might as well get used to it. There are a number of positive features. Hopefully this place will catch on with more posters soon. And the rest of us will just learn to deal.

BTW speaking of 'blood', why would "Flowe is visiting this weekend" ever be edited? Perhaps one of the greatest subject lines in the history of the Wildwest! 😏

What’s the problem with the format? Other than getting used to it, it seems great to me. No pop up ads or possible viruses. the green board was quirky with posts. Often I would ”timed out” and my posts wouldnt post on the board. My best constructed posts never posted. It’s nice to be able to edit too. “ Flowe is visiting this weekend” would have been edited. this new board will bring in new blood which is needed.
