Additionally, they may use gloves with textured palms or special grip-enhancing substances to help maintain control. Dart is already familiar with gloves.

To simulate game-like conditions, QBs practice throwing wet balls during practice. At UCLA, they use a towel or cloth to wipe down the ball between throws, mimicking the actions of the ball boys during a game. This helps QBs develop a sense of how the wet ball will behave in flight and how to adjust their throws accordingly. By practicing with a wet ball, quarterbacks can build their confidence and develop the necessary skills to perform effectively in rainy conditions.

From my own personal experience, the rain never stopped us from playing ball. I had some of my best games in the rain tbh.
