Was just curious how the Jets were before Sam and after. Not sure how they got the 3 pick in the draft w that record. That's not usually bad enough for a 3. Maybe they traded up.
Jets:
2015 10-5 huge turnaround from 4-12 under new coach Bowles
2016 5-11 that's a huge negative turnaround Back to being the Jets lol
2017 5-11 this was he Suck for Sam year Little surprised Bowles survived this
2018- 4-12 Sam makes them worse, certainly no better, and gets Bowles fired
2019- 7-9 there's hope and sadly this is the high point of Sam's career
2020 2-14 Sam and the coach get tossed after this one. Even with one year left on both their contracts
2021 4-13 Little improvement without Sam
2022 7-10 Back to being about what they were before he arrived.
In the end, pretty clear he made no appreciable difference. If anything maybe a little worse
Here’s 2020 Season summary for the Jets. No All Pro players on entire team and only two guys received any votes.
Sams #1 WR was Robby Anderson lol.
His TE was Ryan Griffen.
His RB was 40 year old Frank Gore.
Jets are the jets. Terribly ran franchise.
FWIW Sam missed 3 games a year for Jets. Never played 16 games for them.

Great post. Strong FACTS! These dumb rah rahs will never admit how wrong they were about dummy Sam.
Java is feeling threatened after the Adoree sighting last night.
How can he be a bust since he was starting for an NFL playoff team in the 2nd round? 5 years after leaving USC?
Now he needs to validate himself by slamming another great Trojan. All class Move there. 🤡
If you doubt me ask yourself why the Sam rant and Jets deep dive just this am?????????
No the problem with the jets and most of the nfl teams is the GM and their front office. The NFL is a GM league. You need to be able to recognize/retain talent, work the draft and free agency and acquire coaches who can develop qbs in this 7 on 7 era. The jets don't have any of this and haven't since the 70s.
Everyone gave Bellichek props for the patriots, but he was crap at Cleveland inheriting a squad from Marty Schottenheimer that would have been in 3 AFC championship games if not for some guy Elway, and Bellichek made them crap. The patriots won due to an excellent front office and a willingness to cheat at every opportunity.
Was Sam ready for the NFL? no, and he knew it, but when Helton left him hung out to dry with his crap coaching, Sam made the obvious choice. I've said this before, but sam would have been further ahead going to Canada and pulling a Warren Moon. He needed to develop his game and it wasn't going to happen at USC, so you go to the next best spot before shooting for the primetime.
Java, these data suggest that "no appreciable difference" was due to factors other than Sam, unless you believe that the previous and current QBs are/were the problem.
Comparatively
Jacksonville
2020- 1-15 before Trevor Lawrence
2021 3-14 despite Urban Meyer disaster with lawrence
2022- 9-8 With lawrence
That's the kind of trajectory you look to see when drafting a young hot shot QB
Not excuses.
You Darnold apologists sound like who you accuse Helton supporters of being
