Just watched the neflix documentary on Manziel.
I thought he would be the next Fran Tarkington. who knew that he was such a head case?
Who knows what to believe anymore. ESPN told me his family was loaded with oil money. Who knew? Manziel's dad actually was a general manager of a Honda Dealership.
The advantages of going to school in a quiet isolated college town.
Best part of the show was when he stated. "I hate the fucking NCAA".
Overall I thought the show was pretty good. No denying the wasted talent. Played football like it was just a game. Imagine that. Don't think it's a good idea for him to be in the bar and nightclub bidness. Place is called MONEY BAR and opens later this month. sc
classic too much too soon. Throw in the strict military like HS team, and you kinda have a Marinovich like situation, where when he was on his own, he exploded on the scene but couldn't handle the fame and access (and alcohol and drugs).
It was a good documentary I enjoyed watching. He was just a talented guy that never grew up that's all.
When you go to Las Vegas to drink and gamble when you have a game the next day in Cleveland that pretty much tells you everything.
