And there are a ton out there. Lots who want to play for Lincoln. So my point is if they get someone from the class of 25 then great. If not then moss and maiva both are back for 25 and they’ll recruit someone or find a transfer for 26.

Agree, but my point was you just don’t really know what you have until you see it on Saturday. Even more to the point is I believe CLR and many other coaches think qb’s like juju only come around every few years. Your point is certainly understood. I’m also pretty confident in CLR finding a competent QB every year. Just seems to be a lot of evidence suggesting our coach thinks JuJu is special.

Btw, another tidbit to support your point. Ryder Lyons (brother of USC TE Walker) is a 2026 qb recruit who some believe might be better than Juju (I have no idea what CLR thinks about the 2 qb comparison). USC does seem to be in the lead to land him, but chances are he will take a Mormon mission, which will technically make him a 2027 or ‘28 recruit.

Not sure it’s about attention anymore. It’s been reported that several players are fielding offers on these visits. It’s not against the rules, so i have to believe this is happening…. I think about this as a potential parent. For example, if my son liked 3 schools and ranked them all closely 1-3, how much $$$$$ would it take for #3 to jump #1 or 2, etc? @ 100k per year? 250k per year? I’m sure this kid is looking at even bigger numbers.

As a fan, I hate all of this NIL crap, but just 1 year at 250k can pretty much buy a full college tuition at almost any school in the country. As a parent, I know my son could always go back and finish up 1 or 2 years, and possibly do it at a better academic institution.

These numbers are getting pretty big. It’s not about anything else now. Education?! LOL…. Of course you could try and get both academics and $$$$$ at the same school. Now that USC has made NIL more available to hs players, perhaps it will be one of the more competitive programs in getting kids to sign. Still leaves a bunch of others issues on the table.

Juju, as well as hundreds of other players are simply on a 6-12 month touring circuit and writing down all the numbers. Look at how many official and unofficial visits these hs players are taking now. I saw today a top 200 player visiting 2 schools every weekend for several consecutive weeks

No specifics but it was mentioned Hugh Freeze ( who was fired from Ol Miss for paying off players and offering them companions) was identified as a great QB developer and of course Sanders who Lewis was supposed to be enamored with his offense and speed/skill positions...
