Well, if you don't think KR's trip to Florida and photo with 45 has anything to do with Trump being his usual vampire self, I can't add anything else. So be it.

Yeah, I did arm myself and protect some businesses, but you have to understand my situation was much different. Those of us who were there were there only as a deterrent, and it was pretty much agreed by all of us that it would be potentially unlawful to harm anyone to protect property, which it is in Minnesota. Yeah, it's absolutely legal to protect yourself from bodily harm, which is what KR did (not sure about the differences in Wisconsin), but the owners of the shops told us they wanted to avoid it getting to that; they were insured, to them violence should be avoided if possible.

I had a shotgun, and we were boarded up (although there were some "firing" slits (for lack of a better word) near the front entrances. If the shit hit the fan, which it never did (thankfully the Guard showed up), I was fully prepared to fire a couple of bursts in the air at any angry mob coming toward the shops. Some of the others would do the same with their sidearms and rifles, etc. There were about 7 of us.

Now, anyone who doesn't run in the face of that kind of fire is either extremely stupid or completely wigged out on drugs. If any mob had decided to return fire, we would have fired back. But if any mob had rushed the entrances and tried to break them down, while unarmed, we were going to get the hell out of Dodge out the back and into the alleys, where we had an escape plan. The owners of the buildings, my personal friends, were very clear on that.

If there had been some real physical threat to us, we probably could have done what KR apparently did. But our situation was different; we weren't roaming the neighborhood carrying rifles. Others were, I've been told, and they did act as deterrents in some neighborhoods. But I'm not a soldier, I would not put myself in that kind of situation unless I had to, and I didn't have to. I'm just glad the Guard finally showed up, better late than never. Both the governor and the mayor royally fucked that up.

EDIT: I forgot to mention that the shops we were occupying had been previously damaged but not ruined, which is why we were there on the second and third nights of rioting, which is when the Guard showed up. Most of the worst damage was done the first night, mostly in south Minneapolis.

You have much more in common with KR than you think. Unfortunately a convicted pedo and another felon decided to teach “the kid“ a lesson.

They chased him and attacked him with a skateboard (head shots) and a handgun. He defended himself.

That is why jury let him walk.

Going to visit most famous man in world at his world famous club prob seemed like a good idea. BTW the jailers wouldn’t allow KR a shower for weeks. Kid deserved some R & R.

Ultimately, I'm thinking he's probably a good kid. In such high-profile cases like this, there's obviously a lot at stake, so I do believe in trusting due process.

I just don't like to see young people taken advantage of by others who seek to cash in, and that's what I'm seeing. JMO.

I have no idea why my take is disappointing to you. I never said KR didn't have the right to defend himself in that situation (which I did question given his age and apparent lack of supervision), and the jury must've agreed. Your disappointment is probably because I reminded you of how much I despise Trump. That's all it takes to set you off.

My disappointment is that both Trump and KR turned this into something that DOES have to do with Trump and Mar-a-lago, how can you even question that? Really? And, yes, that is going to be counterproductive when it comes to guns rights advocates and only adds more fuel for gun control advocates.

@OldHickoryTrojan I am asking those questions, same ones we're asking in Minneapolis, trust me; law enforcement here couldn't be more fucked up. And the situation KR is facing with nursing school is dead wrong. But I'm not going to canonize the kid, and while all of this is obviously political, anyone who can't see that he's being used as a pawn is living in a fool's paradise. I don't see it as much different than that ugly child of the corn girl they trotted out as the spokeschild for global warming.

@Pasadena Trojan I never voted for those assholes. And they have nothing to do with the Minneapolis PD, which is definitely fucked up and has been for decades. I don't live in Minneapolis and can't vote for city council members, who have caused a lot of problems but not all; MPD has blown it many times all on their own.
