Honestly, though, I don't know what he said in those quotes that is offensive to you guys. He said USC was going to re-commit to defense because they need to, and it's true. The reference to Lott was, I think, a show of respect...albeit just a tad outdated.

It's not as though USC shifting away from good defense (or any defense) is a secret, and you don't have to go back as far as Lott to see good defense at USC.

That was a stray. Where'd that come from? Also, LR's wins per season have been pretty damn good until this season.
