Same old names.....Petersen, Franklin, Neon Deion Sanders, and "new wrinkle" Brian Kelly. No mention of frontrunner Fickell. This LA Times article is supposed to be insightful? State income tax discussion has merit. "Having players over for dinner" vs. beaches/NIL potential/weather/media?
WOW, the LA Times actually had an in depth good analysis of USC's coaching search.
I agree with Neuheisel. You go to Peterson and offer him the moon. He has a name and he has a track record. I also agree that USC should approach Kelly. He is a solid coach with a name and track record. Neither is a 10 on a 1-10 scale but they are both solid, proven and with a good reputation.
The article points out that taxes, quality of family life and cost of living are important headwinds that USC will have to overcome.
They whiffed on failing to discuss the change in demographics in Southern California.
WOW, you mean you can't go to El Modena, Fullerton, Cypress and about 200 other OC or LA high schools and get a very good OL or DL ? I wonder why ? Charlie don't surf, he don't play football either, neither does Juan or Habib.

Rick was one of the worst head coaches in history. Great guy any day of the week except for Saturdays and making coaching recommendations.
