Not sure of the Coliseum capacity now, is it really down to low 70's? Do they make that much on the press box to make up for a loss of 20,000 sears?
Place was rocking. Wish they'd shown more highlights from yesteryear. Mostly showed Anthony Davis games and they honored him.
Anywhere on Youtube they show replays of the game? Game didn't record on Direct TV as I had asked it to.
If you weren't there, you missed a great throwback game. Tense. Great family atmosphere.
If I were a recruit there I could not resist. It was truly a fantastic atmosphere.
Nice to see a USC shake hands, high five, jump up and down. But not grab their crotches, throat slash or taunt their opponent and pick up flags.
USC favored over Utah by 1.5
Despite revisionist history from others who call themselves "realists" (WW version of leftists calling themselves progressives) about how excited and pumped they are and right all along. They claimed they'd rather have Tedford, Gruden, Peterson, Aranda, Campbell and others. Said USC would never win anything under Lincoln Riley. Said they'd score a lot and give up more. And that they needed to hire grown ups. I wonder if 11-1 makes Lincoln Riley a grown up?
Years USC beat ND and UCLA back to back: 1938, 1956, 1962, 1964, 1972, 1974, 1976, 1978, 2002, 2004, 2008, 2016, and 2022.
That is a lot of years of USC football and it's only happened 13 times.
If Caleb wins the Heisman then winning those back to back and USC winning the Heisman will have happened only in 2002 and 2004. Making this an even more rare occurance.
if USC wins the conference Championship it would be only the 2nd time the above happened and they won it outriiht.
If you assume 10 win seasons are the barometer and 11 is the new ten as of about 2000? USC has ten win seasons in 1921, 1925, 1931, 1932, 1933, 1952, 1962, 1967, 1969, 1972, 1974, 1976, 1978, 1979, 1988, and 11+ win seasons in 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, and 2022
By contrast, UCLA has had 10 win seasons in 1946, 1982, 1987, 1988, 1997, 1998, 2005. They have no 11 win seasons ever, but was specifically looking at the modern era of 13 game seonas where I set the bar for USC at 11. Point is that Lincoln Riley and USC in a rebuilding year have accomplished more in 12 games than UCLA has in their entire program history. Something we have repeatedly said about Clay Helton, Pete Carroll and about every other USC coach who has put up these kinds of stats.
According to Princess last night as the game was winding down, Lincoln Riley STILL has not won anything. I'm sure if he had a kid and the kid won all the regional spelling bees or in his case whatever contests they have to chloroform people, he would tell them he was a loser unless he won the world championship. Some people are just crappy people. For the rest of us, celebrate Lincoln Riley. Celebrate the great University win. The great USC season and be proud to be a Trojan and enjoy. (unless you're going to be insulted being called a Trojan, in which USC football is none of your business)
Oh lordy Lordy Lordy.
where do I begin.
rah rahs and realists insult each other by calling each other leftists?
now that’s funny stuff.
you can watch a one hr condensed version of French whore game game on pac 12 network Monday ay 7 pm. Replays during week. Pretty cool . Just the plays . None of the noise.

Notre dame USC will replay on ESPNU on Wednesday, Nov 30th 11:30am
What is the point of bringing UCLA into this? Does it make you feel better? Isn't going to the playoffs in Year One of the Boy Wonder enough? And I thought USC never compared themselves to UCLA so, again, WTF is your point? That the Bruins are shitty? Wow, that's a fucking bulletin! Thanks for pointing that out, I had no idea.
But you didn't have anything to do with it.
No, you didn't.
Last night Caleb Williams was extremely efficient but he made a couple plays that get overlooked.
1) He actually played defensive back and got a PI penalty. A trick play almost blew apart. An INT was on the way and Williams broke up the pass smartly and alertly. Go a PI but USC retained possession and got a FG. Huge and smart.
2) Two, not 1 but 2 pooch kicks. One for 58 yards. Very impressive.
I think this shows a lot. We saw some outlandish open field running skills. We saw 19-22 passing. Very nice control and no TO, no risks. We saw some nice throws. About 10.5 yards an attempt. But we also saw a well rounded player who broke up a pass and kicked twice. Both of which negated the ND kick block team and negated returns.
That's a very well rounded resume for those watching.
Also, Caleb Williams executes the fake handoff better than any QB I have ever seen. Even in the stands being right in front of him and having a perfect view down the line he faked me out every single time. Faked out the ND DE too, because each time h blew up Austin Jones for a 4 yard loss, until discovering Williams was on his way to paydirt. Small item? I don't think so. That's a great skill he has and he's put it to good use for USC.
