Last time USC went into SB Undefeated

was 2005 we were 5-0, beat the irish, and ended up 12-1.

This year is the first in 18 seasons we are going to SB undefeated. Only the third time since 1979. Thats 44 years. Crazy to think about.

Only 8 times in the last 66 years has USC gone into ND undefeated, we won 4, lost 3 and tied 1

1995 we were 6-0, six easy wins, then got blasted in SB, finished 9-2-1 with a RB win

1979 5-0-1 tie to the Farm, beat the Irish and endedNational Champs

1975 went in 6-0 beat the Irish, finished 8-4 Liberty Bowl win over the Aggies

1973 we went in 5-0-1, lost to ND

1969 went in 4-0 and tied the Irish

1967 went in 4-0 beat the irish and won the NC

1965 went in 4-0-1 got blasted in South Bend

I only went back to 1957, prior to that we played @ ND in the last game of the season, in November

USC did not win the nc that year. That was the miracle 4th and 9. Bush push

The year ended in the rose bowl against texas. Greatest game in ucla football history.

At least something good came out of that game. UTLA. Right up there with tranny in my Best works

I grew up a usc football fan. Had a dorm space opened up at utla , I know I would still be an sc football fan.

But tran my was too and it made a good number of peolle here. Who aren't usc alumni. Uncomfy. It was most apropos for one idiot who actually was a sun devil and "identified" as a Trojan. But not really. But kinda. When it was convenient. I mean obviously he wasn't. Just like well. You know. I'm a bit more forgiving if you didn't go to college or went to none without a football team but hahahaha to go to a rival? In the same conference? Just too easy. So yeah. It was absolutely brilliant. But some comedians have great bits but they make the whole audience squirm and so they don't get big laughs with it. Tranny absolutely is one. But deadly accurate.

If I suddenly declared my basketball allegiance to purdue or fresburg after attending a school Usc. That doesn't give a crap about hoops? Totally tranny bait. Luckily for me I don't much care what happens to Fresno hoops and purdue has perfected the one and done regardless of their seeding. So no time to get excited. I had hoped for my grandmas sake maybe they'd eventually do something. Well that was 15 years ago. Still waiting. Maybe my dad will see it before he dies. So if it ever does happen and I get all excited y'all can do it then.

1995 was a cold one. I remember Holtz pulling a fake punt late in the game to rub it in. I was at several Tollner, Smith and JR2 losses at ND. Ugh. 1987 was another cold ass beatdown.

SC can win this year but has to stay in front from the start. There will be no 17 point comebacks in that hell hole.

I flew into Indianapolis on Thursday and it was 80. I brought my clubs to play golf on Friday and it was 50 and raining. Saturday in South Bend was wet and cold. Sunday morning, on my way to the airport, it was sunny and warm.

I was there. Ridiculously cold. Aluminum seats. Soaked. Ice diamonds bouncing off baby's forehead in seat in front of me.

My buddy asked the domers why they didn't leave the kid at home in the freezer.

Hid in hockey arena before kickoff where espn game day was also hiding.

Still have my ticket for that game in '95. Those were 50 yard line seats. Never got close to the 50 in ND after that.... I paid face (60 bucks) for two 50 yd line seats. Buddy sold them to me.

we stopped the November South Bend nonsense in 1959

even so SC lost in South Bend from 1939 until 1967 (thank you John McKay)

1983 to 1997 was the second longest South Bend losing streak

Last win in South Bend was 2011

so time to shut down the third longest South Bend losing streak

Yeah, we are overdue for a win in South Bend. I give us a better chance this year than most posters on the board. It seems like we match up well vs their strengths and weaknesses. If we can just tackle better for once. I don't think it's asking too much.

'52 was a big year. Undefeated SC beat undefeated UCLA, then went to South Bend the next week and got shut out.

If only 2005 had ended with a Natty.
