Tuition? SJB would just give them a full scholarship, like all private schools. Sounds BS to me. Knew many kids that were recruited by P. schools and it was a free ride via scholarships.

Read futher, this looks like embezzlement of FB team's booster funds and monies. Yeah, there have been this type of embezzlement with HS FB teams thru out SS CIF. Coruption is not just only in College, sadly it's in HS sports too.

I'm thinking, if the school did not press charges against C. Negro this suit and charge is meaningless...

Isn’t the tuition part easy??? Meaning coaches don’t have to worry about it or come up with that money. School will handle. I think they’re paying these kids more than just tuition. Am I crazy?

Yep good point. The article mention the charge was in line with tuition? Does not make any sense. It has to be something like you said cash and players.

Fact, C. Negro would not have any access to SJB's bank accounts. But, all the coaches have access to their booster club monies. I think he gave players some spending money and it came out of the booster funds. Booster funds should have a bank checking account (handled by the Treasurer and bookkeeping records = books. Then another officer or outsider must do the bank to check book reconciliation. Also, there's a "Cash on Hand" stash. Cash on Hand should have some type of accounting controls (in and out signatures with one sentence description + receipts)... Cheers.

Many FB booster bank accounts have 6+ figure balances and many times $3 K to $10+ K cash on hand stash. I have heard that coaches have dipped into the cash on hand for personal things. Yeah, sheet happens when money is involved. The dark side of human nature... Cheers.

I scanned the article and this sounds like BS. First of all its a civil complaint and not criminal and its filed by employees that were terminated and not by the school who in theory would be the victim of the embezzlement.

Yeah, but the people think they have something on the school. This is targeting the school not necessarily the coach he’s just collateral damage. And if he actually did anything, then he can go down with the ship.

Wrongful termination suits are almost impossible to win. Best they can hope for is a nuisance settlement from the schools insurance company.
