Anthony Munoz is a Southern Californian, a legendary #USC Trojan, and a Cincinnati #Bengals icon. He visited Lincoln Riley’s team during a very big week. #SuperBowl--thats good publicity.
When it comes to the best players to play for USC, one of the first names that should come to mind is offensive lineman Anthony Munoz. The offensive tackle spent four seasons with the program. They Trojans won a bowl game in each of those years, including three Rose Bowls. USC won the 1978 national title and finished second in the polls in 1976 and 1979.
Following his time in Los Angeles, Munoz went on to be the No. 3 overall pick by the Cincinnati Bengals in the 1980 NFL draft. In Cincinnati, he played all but one year of his career. Now, with the Bengals in Los Angeles prepping for the Super Bowl, Munoz decided to stop by the Trojans program to meet with new head coach Lincoln Riley and talk to the team.
Munoz was dominating. The funny thing is he was considered absolutely huge in those days. Today, he would still be considered tall but he would be considered pretty light for an NFL offensive tackle.
