As for moss not reading the progression, you read til you find an open receiver. Given the point of the play was to secure the first down, that was mosses first read and took the safe throw. Not moss' fault, as that was probably what he was expected to do. But Riley continues to not help his own offense with his numerous mental gaffs and his poor design.

Our Wr's are not smart or instinctive. In a zone, they must run routes with faints and eye acting (fake the DB) to an open spot quickly and catch the dam ball. The Wr's must do their jobs better. That was the main problem last year. Caleb went thru his progessions, but could not find Wr's open. Maybe WR C Simmons is not doing his job teaching them?

Deuce, Branch must really improve and help Moss out. The others are doing a good enough job. Wr's must read the DB's and run routes to counter them. And, QB Moss must react fast, since he is not mobile enough to buy time finding them.

As you know the WR position requires mucho conditioning. Imagine running up 30 to 50 yds sprints 40 to 50 times a game. Maybe they are taking breaks during O drives and plays? C Simmons must get them in tip top shape.
