And with him Caleb Williams. Supposedly a contract offer was made by LSU. Corn dogs thought it was a done deal. But they got Bohned and Folted.
USC would have ended up with Kelly, Aranda, or Campbell.
Riley said no, took the USC job instead.
I don't think many USC fans would take Kelly over Riley. LSU fans want Kelly's head after getting dog walked by an ACC team tonite. How's that LSU SEC defense feeling after giving up 31 straight points.
Is LSU just undertalented, or is Kelly just a shitass coach? I never really followed him all that closely at Notre Dame, so I don't really know. I know his Notre Dame teams made a number of BCS bowls, but I seem to remember they got their asses kicked a lot.
Even though he is a dick, Kelly can coach.
I know Aranda and Campbell were the flavor of the day but do you think they would have been the right hire? I know UW flirted with Campbell after the 2021 season, but after some reasearch, I wasn't impressed with either one of them.
Good thing he passed. LSU would have a lousy defense and lose to teams like Tulane.
Lsu has a proud tradition of taking the sec brand on the road and getting embarrassed in openers. Ucla thumped them with a bad Bruin team not long ago in the rose bowl
