That's it .
Before that he was an assistant to real coaches.
And he was only a position coach in the nfl. not in charge of anything.
He joined utla after signing day 9 months ago.
That's it. Said he spent spring practice learning the college game. Said practices were way too fast for what he was used to.
He didn't put in his defense because he doesn't have one.
He inherited uclas entire staff. He didnt have any guys to bring in.
He spent the summer learning how to recruit for the 2024 class.
He has never hired anyone.
He doesn't know anyone in the college game outside of ucla.
He simply isn't qualified. His dad is, but he isn't.
Look him up yourself , you won't find much. Cause there isn't much. sc
Bloodlines and coaching tree.....nuff said....
The question is how did Lynn's defense do against the better teams this year? Terrible.
Oregon State and Arizona ripped them to shreds. Even not so good Arizona St and Cal punched his defense. All losses.
Where his defense was successful came against all the one dimensional teams like, Wash St, SC and Colo. Yes his stats looked good against those type of teams.
The guy is a fawking child.
Back to training wheels U
imagine that. No experience no qualifications and all these employers lined up, throwing millions at him.
If you want the $500k buyout back, we'll return it and you guys could take a shot at Texas' DC
Lynn is the only DC in the country who has never given up more than 29 points in a game. You can expect that to continue if you get more players.
I guess we'll see, particularly WRT recruiting. But the fact remains that UCLA's defense finished #89 in '22, and they finished #11 in '23, with pretty much the same personnel both seasons.
USC could do a lot, lot worse.
