They x rayed it at half so I imagine they wanted to see if it was structural or just pain. Once they decided the latter they probably shot him up. Taped him up and sent him back out.
Doesn’t mean it’s ok to administer In a locker room under those circumstances. Or if it is that it’s allowed under nfl or union rules. That’s what I wondered. Lot of pain you can cover with a shot and guys can go back out and bang some more. In theory
My thinking was mahomes. Gets hurt. Goes to locker room early. Been around long enough to know what that probably means. Had a novocaine shot myself in college in my toe lol. And yeah I’m sure that was illegal too. But I had one last game to play. Scored two and we won 3-2 so yahoo. I figure if I was willing to do that for a dumb 3rd place game lots of guys in pro sports probably are willing to do that at halftime to take some pin away and play on it

You get more athletic every thread. Way to go Pelé.
You get more boring every thread. Glad your favorite subject is me but surely your life has more meaning than that. Whoops I’m wrong again. Groupies come w the territory lol
oh for sure. I know they happen. Assume team docs can administer. I just was wondering if they were either legal by law or ok by the players union and nfl rules
I would guess this topic is conveniently ignored in the CBA. Doubt there is a law directly applicable.
Back in the day, I suspect the movie North Dallas 40 was pretty close to the truth. It was up to the player, but they were strongly encouraged to take the needle if they wanted to stay on the team. Now days when the players have more leverage, maybe this doesn't go on as much, but I would guess it's still up to the player to decide.
Yes.
Problem is, it masks the pain, allowing the player to continue…which could cause further damage.
I can’t believe they let him back out after seeing him hobble around for a series.
If a drug is legal, its legal
The hack that gave Polamalu the pain killer injection before the Orange Bowl vs Iowa really fawked up.
yes. well, they happen all the time. Nobody is gonna know.
