uh, he had his duties stripped. what's to talk about ?
do you really think it was his idea to hire a general manager and start recruiting local?
Big Jen went through the motions of trying to fire the quarterback coach for cause but was advised that 162's contract was ironclad and USC would have to pay his ridiculous contract. Like when sanka couldn't afford decent seats at the coliseum, USC simply did not have the funds. It's a math thing.
Big Jen and Bowen are running the show now. Not CLR.
just admit you were wrong about 162 being a home run hire. SC hasn't won squat since. But USC does have a great quarterback coach. so it's not all bad. sc
It’s Snoop. He’s coming so fo shizzle the recruits are too
What’s funny is that people don’t realize what’s happened. The football coach used to be responsible for everything. Player grades. Fundraising. Recruiting. Offense. Defense. Alumni handshakes. And we have seen that all chopped up now.
Absolutely. Saban, Meyer and Stoops had GMs and the FB program separate from the athletic dept. They understood it’s too much for one guy.
It’s just lame that the haters bitch about not making changes, and when he does make changes, they say it was all Cohen. It’s like arguing with a Democrat.
I am encouraged however. That whether slowly or not. I think USC is getting how the game is to be played and managed.
And the espn studio is still down the street. And there is still a ton of talent within a few hours of campus. And usc wtill has all those trophies to show and great facilities. Great weather.
Add that all up and if they can figure out the rest they eventually will have a powerhouse. Just taking a lot longer than any of us wanted
Agreed….but we must understand, this is Riley’s first rebuild. That Sooner team had been built for decades.
And I’m sure he had some ideas that haven’t worked out. Went with assistants that didn’t work out. Went to his recruiting grounds he was comfortable with.
And those approaches failed.
But I’m ok with that, this is all new to him. The important thing is he learned from his mistakes. He’s made necessary changes.
He’s young, but he has a great football mind, he’ll figure it out….like you said, it just took longer than we had hoped for.
Im really positive on this upcoming season, I think a massive turnaround is coming. 2002 type turnaround.
San Clemente is so quiet now he must be in witness protection.

That's only one gap is his supposed abilities. Also the easiest one to fix. I want to see if he can actually coach a game and not look like an idiot.
No I’ve seen this movie before.
It was Jen
It is the new President
It’s Coach Entz. He’s the one.
It’s Tim Floyd
It’s because Rodney Peete caught that foul ball
It’s Snoop. He’s coming so fo shizzle the recruits are too

They are too busy drinking champagne out of the Recruiting Championship cup to comment right now.
