“One former Michigan coach — presumably former head coach Jim Harbaugh — did not take part in the agreement and the NCAA's Committee on Infractions will treat that case separately.”
Who was saying the NCAA wasn't/isn't corrupt but your take /bias agaist the SEC s telling and you never addressed that Michigan got nothing until after they were given the pth to the NC even though they were caught red handed in the worst cheating scandal of them all.....much bigger than paying off a player or players..
I already posted on that BAMA has been nailed a couple times...but you are missing the bottom line here...many schools cheat by handing cash to players but Michigan took it to an entirely new leve and the NCAA knew that and yet still allowed them to play for an NC and didn't make them forfeit any wins even though the shenanigans and number of folks involved who worked for the University broke tons of rules from recruiting to assisting with unsanctioned workouts and testing to stealing plays, recording workouts and games etc etc etc...no one ever took it this far...and yet didn't suffer the ultimate penalty they deseved and were allowed to take it to an NC..
The very definition of 'lack of institutional control', yet.....
you can't sanction the endzone, right?
Light penalties, worth the national ship.

The sign stealing investigation is still pending.
