Miller Moss hype.

Reminds me of the Slovis hype after his first game.

Looks like things have worked out for Slovis. It looks like he is going to get drafted and has a decent shot of being a career backup in the NFL. I have no idea what went wrong at West Virgina , but he seems to have done well at BYU. Got himself invited to the Shrine bowl.

Slovis went to Pitt, then BYU..... JT Daniels spent a year at W Virginia

Nelson should return to USC. At the very least he can start 2 seasons after Miller Moss completes his college years. Also, Miller took some hits vs Louisville. If Miller continues taking these hits he'll likely be sidelined for a few games. So Nelson may get a few starts next season. Nelson could be the 2026 or 2027 Heisman winner. He has the potential. Kid needs to put in the work first.

Never saw what others, including CLR in Nelson.

I also wonder about his injury . Sometimes those things never get better.

There doesn't seem to be all that much interestest in him in the portal. Not at a top school at least. Maybe he winds up at a second tier place like Vandy or Purdue. I think he was looking for a place he didn't have to compete. good luck with that

Moss saves usc money and he played well.

We saw the difference that attitude makes in the bowl. Excited motivated kids who are second string played better than talented first stringers who had one foot out the door.

Translate that to moss. The kids believe in him. I didn't. But he played against a quality Louisville defense and for the 45-50 minutes in between the first and last 5-7 minutes? He made them look silly

Doing your job well in Lincoln, Riley's system is a difference maker.

Putting it another way. Blasphemous as it is to say. I think Miller Moss the way he played in the holiday bowl. Executing Riley's system could have put up a better record this year running the usc offense than "difference maker" Caleb Williams

You write Notre Dame off to just a disaster of circumstances, and by the time a few weeks later happen, you are in freefall. I think the schedule combined with the previous résumé. Made it something that was too late at that point or that he could not correct. Overall it worked out and the Caleb that played at USC in 2023 was not the same as 2022 and the one that played at USC in 23 I think had a far more detrimental effect than what you and I saw on the field. I have a feeling, that some of the rumors that he was a clubhouse cancer might've been true

The hype might be deserved. In limited duty this year he always played well. If he doesn't go into next year as the starter what are you saying to SoCal kids who grew up wanting to be Trojans and then proving it by sitting for two years waiting for your chance when you could have portaled and started right away somewhere else. This kind of loyalty has to be rewarded. And I believe he is a better option than the KSU kid, Howard. Let the Buckeyes have him.

There is a reason Nick Saben wanted Moss so badly.

of course Moss is the starter going into the season. didn't suggest anything else.

Moss got his opportunity and hit it out of the park.

Slovis got his opportunity when CnD went down and hit it out of the park.

Then Slovis got hit out of the park.

I like Moss. Great kid. Great Trojan. Nice accurate arm. Gets rid of it quick just like slovis. Biggest plus is that the kid is really really smart and plays withing the offense. Downside is he doesn't move that well and USC has a suspect offensive line. Just like when Slovis who got crushed like a bug against Utah.

Watch the Holiday bowl again. Moss took a few really big shots.

All I posted was that the Moss hype reminded me of the Slovis hype. And Moss reminds me of Slovis.

I don't care about where Howard goes. Do you think Moss is better than Slovis? sc

I think it is more likely that Moss in Riley's offense will be better then Slovis. Time will tell. But I am an optimist.

I think moss is more mobile than you think and more than slovis. I do think moss is a little better yes.

I also think slovis was in a tough situation with injuries. Line. COVID and Heltons status.

I am sure slovis could run Lincoln's offense and look great
