Missing receivers badly. Take it with a grain of salt, but the norm in the Spring is for everyone to say how great everyone looks. “ Bigger, faster, stronger than last year. “ The opposite is being said about Miller.
The thing is , Brohm’s resume with QB’s is bullet proof, so we’ll see. But practice observers are saying his accuracy and arm are not what they expected.
What is really interesting is that Brohm got a really first hand look at Moss in his first start, being on the wrong end of Miller's best game ever.
Does not sound like Moss. He must have some nagging injury and have not told his coach. Many times in spring camp the QB's are stressed to make QB1 and maybe Moss is feeling the pressure.
It's Moss last hurrah. I hope he does well at Lousiville and become QB1. Moss is a good guy and deserves some success... Cheers
His arm strength isn't great. That's why it was silly for LR to put the game on his shoulders, esp when USC had a better running game.
As for his accuracy issues, I wonder how much he threw the ball to his future receivers this winter. Sounds like they aren't used to each other. NTL, it wouldn't surprise me if Moss is on the bench for UL. He's not athletic enough for what the modern game demands, and I would think the cards have someone more closely aligned with Brohm's offense.
I won't say that he should have stayed at USC, but given how shaky USC's qb situation is right now, that probably would have been the wiser move. Unless LR decides to start a true freshman, Moss would have been at worse 1 play from being the starter again, and he would have been throwing to better receivers at USC.
I remember remarking and getting flack for it when I wasn't impressed with his accuracy after his start in the Bowl Game against Louisville when everyone was jumping up and down about how great he passed the ball..
