On man that one will sting for quite sometime. Again I drank the kool-aid & got fooled for my attention. The offense was offensive. 7 fracken points against Montana. With an experienced OL & RBs. Decent D. Be nice if they tackled better. That was a WTF game.
Husky social/fan sites are all over the place. From gut the program or I ain't coming back to "it's just one game..."
I figured maybe 3 losses b4 the season, now 5 or 'sigh' more.
The whole Pac 12 other than UCLA. And to a lesser degree USC spit the bit this weekend
no. I am not impressed with Oregon stealing a game at home versus Fresno when they were outplayed. Not sure about Colorado Asu and Utah. They played nobodies. and did what they should. USC played a good nobody and did ok. I’d give it a 6 or 7 on a scale of 10
Kal. Stanford. Wsu and Washington ALL got beat by nobodies. Arizona got beat by an increasingly legit BYU team. At home. Oregon state lost to Purdue. Both teams go from awful to decent. So not surprising but. NOt good for the conference.
the weekend clearly belonged to the Bruins. They were tough. Physical and outlasted an lsu team devastated by a hurricane. Who had to practice in texas midweek and who was awful last year. But ucla beat an sec team that was really good two years ago and had different players and coaches. And the Bruins are 2-0. Right now this is their bit moment. chip isnt 0-6 as usual. Right now Bruins are thinking bcs playoff :-)
Damn. Shakespeare. You are single handedly raising the collective intellect of this board. Get thee to a nunnery! (Hamlet) .
my favorite which I will type on the day of Clays dismissal, “Friends, Romans, countrymen, lend me your ears, I come to bury Caesar, not to praise him.” Or , ”Off with his head!” One more,
Felicia, make haste and depart thee slut. ( bye Felicia)
@Waldorf a Bruin that knows Shakespeare. Way to go. Going to a Catholic high school I was well schooled in Shakespeare still the greatest writer of all time despite being a dead old white man
@firenze5 Actually, I am not too knowledgeable when it comes to Bill S. I just thought I'd write something similar to what he might have written if he'd been horrified by a UW loss to an inferior team. I did read some Shakespeare in high school and some in college, but it's not really my thing. Now, groucho (or whatever the fuck he's calling himself) is steeped in Shakespeare, that's for sure.
That said, some of my favorite sayings, which we all use all the time, are loosely derived from Shakespeare:
"All that glitters is not gold." (The Merchant of Venice)
"There's something rotten in Denmark." (Hamlet)
"All the world's a stage." (As You Like It)
"It vanished into thin air." (Othello)
"There's a method to my madness." (Hamlet)
"He's on a wild-goose chase." (Romeo and Juliet)
"He wears his heart on his sleeve." (Othello)
"He has a heart of gold." (Henry V)
"They were gone in one fell swoop." (Macbeth)
"It's the stuff that dreams are made of." (The Tempest...although I first heard it in the movie The Maltese Falcon, of course!)
"It's all come full circle." (King Lear)
"He's the devil incarnate." (Titus Andronicus)
"It was too much of a good thing." (As You Like It)
How Gomer doesn't dominate this conference with 5x the talent on his roster is just beyond any comprehension. He should be like FSU vs the ACC in the 90s

Love or hate USC we had the second best win of the opening week

Embarrassing!
