Reading comprehemsion or ESL issues?
I don't think folks realize the mindset Riley had when he came here.
He came from a basketball on grass conference that didn't put a whole lot of emphasis on defense (KSt and Baylor have recently, and oddly enough, both gave OU a very difficult time) So when Riley got here, he just did what he did at OU, and he kind of got a taste of what life outside the B12 was like last season.
Then this season came, he got walloped across the chin by that reality. Run the fuck over reality.
So while he did have issues in past playoff games, he felt the lack of recruiting was the reason for the losses, and it sort of was. But now, after this season, he has been completely woken up about what CFB is outside the B12....serious dick punch, which is why he's changing his approach.
Coaches at this level are extremely stubborn, most don't change. I think it says a lot about Riley to not only change, but do so relatively quick.
Fuck You.
Don't think he ws calling out CLR, he has too much class for that. YOU, on the other hand, have none (and never will).
Riley's not much of a coach. can't handle his squad, the media, time management, the running game, special teams or defense. And even his passing game is suspect. USC needs to do better.
