Riley needed to tell CW no more audibling at the line. Run the play that's called. And check down if the initial read wasn't open. Frankly, I don't think you can call what CLR did as coaching. He rolled the ball on the field like Helton sark kiffin and Pete post-chow and just expected the talent to go win it. Anybody can do that (poorly).
The offense was so inconsistent IMO because no one knew WTF CW was going to do. Running the clock down to 1, forcing lineman to stay static in a set position for 25-30 secs is nuts.
I blame LFR for giving CW too much power at the LOS. I can't recall who said it, but someone here mentioned that LFRs playcalls were just suggestions to CW.

Yes and no. Isn't the ability to control the QB part of in-game coaching?
