This list is based on how good teams actually are - offense, defense, and opponent unlike all the other polls that focus on hype and offense only.

You may notice USC did not make it. It’s not a mistake. USC has played 3 teams who are bad on defense and Oregon State isn’t much better. The defense has been exposed by unranked teams.The Huskies are by far the best team in conference. Pennix looks like a Heisman winner. He shredded a good MSU defense. They have all kinds of playmakers and their defense is very good.
