I think you're projecting according to the current state of things (sans USC). Utah will fall off the globe when their coach retires. OTOH, I think the big winner right now with USC leaving is UDub. Their star is already on the rise and I think they may become the dominant force of what's left of the Pac.
The big question is how long the leftovers can stick together. The 4 corners are big 12 bound, I think starting with CU probably next year. AZ schools will follow on their heals. UU will follow as a good fit scheduling-wise with BYU already in the B12, altho that's a pretty tenuous hook to have all your hopes hanging on.
That leaves the 6 pac to fend for themselves. A 6 school conference won't even have a seat at the kids' table re: the CFP. Interesting what their move would be at that point.
For the record, I still think Stanford and UDub end up in the B1G. It obviously helps scheduling with USC and UCLA, and academically/fiscally it's the best combination available.
I dont know where Fresno and sdsu etc all are but. i think a conference of sdsu Fresno oregon state wash state boise state in football and gonzaga in basketball. And maybe a byu and colorado state and a unlv might be a fairly legit solid respectable watchable outfit.
BYU has already joined the Big 12. This would be a major step down for them.
That line up is a big meh. Easier just to say the Oregon and Washington schools join the MWC. Then they will have their 1 CFP slot to fight over, which wouldn't make UO and UDub happy,
Yeah pac 12 game of week on peacock. Rah rah
