They are not the #6 team in the nation. They'd be .500 in the Big Ten
Their best win is vs a ATM team who is 4-3 versus Group of 5 opponents.
Lost to Northern Illinois. Beat a 1-10 Purdue team and Miami of Ohio. Beat a wildly inconsistent 7-4 Louisville team at home and a wildly inconsistent G Tech 7-4 team on the road. Beat 2-9 FSU, 3-8 Stanford and two physically overmatched service academy teams. And a 5-6 Virginia squad.
Not really their fault. Some of those teams were supposed to be good. USC isn't any better than some of them like G Tech, Louisville etc. ND has also played 3 road games outside Indiana.
So we will see how it plays out, but ND is not unbeatable. Probably the reason the spread is as close as it is. USC keeps tlaking aobut how we are not this bad. So close. Now would be a nice time to realize all that potential ND is ripe for the beating
Posted this a week ago. Before everyone jumped aboard with “we are gonna win tomorrow”
So let’s see how it turns out
They have a midget QB. Not too impressed with him. But as usual they are big and have a very good RB. The defense is pretty good.
SC will beat them next Saturday.
And yet I have no confidence that USC beat the Irish. It will all depend on the offense, which has been shitty lately (except for Woody). I really do hope I'm wrong.
Probably the weakest ND schedule in a number of years, but it would appear that they have bought into what Marcus Freeman is selling and they continue to improve game by game. 7 points is probably what the spread should be.
But but but they beat 9-0 Army. LOL
Java, nice post but you forgot to mention that our schedule is not much better and our biggest score was one at 42 whereas ND had scores of 55, 52, 51 and 49. If El Doctor does not find his lords prayer notes before Saturday we may be in BIG, BIG trouble. In addition, we have DC who lost 5 games after our offense gave him a lead in the 4th Q. Rt El Doctor??
Good points. 👍 makes sense
