you do not know, nor do I, that it was going on everywhere else... .but that has never been the point...he was an adult and he knew he was doing wrong....but that has never been the point either. I hate the NCAA... and I represented athletes in actions against them.... and that has never been the point either.
The point is... Bush screwed USC . He knew that USC did nothing in this csse.
it was all him....
He should have screamed it from the bank where he put his millions. USC had no interest whatsoever in seeing him leave school early. To the contrary, it was in USC's interest to have him play another year for them. Once he got caught, not once did he ever absolve USC....still has not....and if he had, maybe USC avoids the unfair death sentence they got. Maybe that punk Haden would have pursued legal action....and won...since Bush could have proven that the NCAA had no case. And that is the point.
Just take Auburn as an example--they sufferd no penalty because the guy who gav e$100,000 to Newton's dad wasnt identified. What Reggie and USC were charged with he didnt do. his stepfather took some benefits without USC's involvement.
@thesquat don't agree. He was just exposed for what happened everywhere else.
Still don't see how he has ANY responsibility for what some douche that married his mom did a hundred miles from the campus.
The outcome fix was in by the NCAA, but that took how many years to finally come out?
USC lesson learned should have been to tell the NCAA to go FAWK themselves and take them to court.
Reggie is just an idiot football player that did what his agent told him he should do.
Still the best running back I have ever seen in person.
Carroll is the one that wouldn't stay and fight. But he had 35 million reasons.
Kid was the BEST college football player the year he won the heisman. That is just a FACT, and that is supposed to be what the Heisman "independent" award is about. sc
