Oak Hills HS sent 5 kids from Sr class to D1 schools

I posted earlier this year that there was talent outside Bosco and MD. That there was talent in the IE, the HD. I was noting Karson Cox going to UCLA as an example.

Oak Hills also is sending kids on scholarship to Fresno State, BYU, San Diego State and UN Reno. Last year or year before they sent a WR to Washington and he played in the NC game.

They'd probably have two more scholarship guys this year but two of their Senior starters are going to college on baseball scholarships if they aren't drafted. Jacob Wester was their QB and likely would have gotten a football ride except Oak was a running team and he plays QB as a break from baseball. Throws 90+ and is a legit SS so he way not even make it on campus.

Anyway, there's some decent talent in the area, for those shocked that UCLA would land a guy from out here.

10-11" is pretty tall, maybe his strike zone was a bit too big and reason for all-time PFA strike out leader?

Josh Shaw, DB, Palmdale HS, USC = 2012-14. Josh played at U.Florida as a freshman, 2011 for only one year under C. Urban Myers. Josh NFL career = 2015-21. He got suspended for gambling on an NFL game. In 2022 played in the US Football league.

C. Meyers quit Florida before the 2011 season due to health issues (ha, C. Meyer made that sheet up). After sitting out for about 9 month 2011, in late Nov, 2011 became the new HC at Ohio St. In 2014 C. Meyers and Ohio St won the NC vs Oregon.

Jacob Webster is a VERY good (Perfect Game) baseball player.

6’3” and 185-190. His future will

be in that sport. I wish him luck!

My son. The “little

League” marvel San C and others like to lampoon. Played for Mike. His dad. At PFA. Mike was upset he couldn’t showcase him but I knew we were looking at a long road. Jc. D2. Mike loved him. Jacob was a little guy. Like 10-11.

As I said. Oak has two baseball guys on that football team. Probably have about 5 guys on the baseball team with futures in the sport.

I think Jacob is headed to UCSB but as you alluded. He may not ever see a campus.
