This is from a set of videos that Crinch peddles to high school coaches. He actually blames his ability to explain it for the reason NO COACH will try this.

Listen to how fast this guy talks. Guy is a genius. CLR is a genius. They are the ONLY two mammals with any association with USC football that are geniuses.

Let me in on a little secret. FOOTBALL PLAYERS and MOST COACHES are NOT geniuses. And this is just about stunting. Not the rest of his defense. Most of the kids struggle with checkers. Not chess.

Of course you can blame the players for making mistakes , cause your plan always works. ON PAPER. Then CLR sits down with Grinch and grinch explains to him the defense he called and the player f'd up. No wonder they can't recruit on that side of the ball.

Not a gambler. But my advice to those that are would be to mortgage , borrow, steal, everything you own and bet for SC to not win jack shit until SC has a new defensive coordinator.

What is amazing to me is that this defense CRASHED and burned everywhere he has tried, and Grinch keeps getting jobs.

I noticed that LB's, in the first video, always seemed to be moving away from the potential ballcarrier in their stunt gaps. I wonder of that might be part of the problem. I don't speak as fast as Grinch so maybe it's something I'm missing.

My guess is that his defense works on paper. My guess is that the play at the end of the first half where the entire defense vacated the middle of the field and Sanders ran through it like the red sea had parted was a blown assignment. His defense winds up with just too many blown assignments.

I have nothing against Grinch. Other smart people really like him. I just think his defense is too complicated . Maybe it would work better in the pros. It certainly hasn't worked in college. sc

I was trying to locate the defender(s) responsible for that long run up the gut by Sanders. At first, I thought it was the strong safety, but he had to cover the tight end. Romelio Height dropped back in coverage to the weak side, but there was no receiver in that part of the field. Romelio should have ran to the middle to cover the gut, but it was too late. Can't tell if it was player fault or the Griinch scheme at fault. I suspect the latter.

I have one membership and use it for business and home. After getting free shipping for a year or two I discovered they have this prime video service.

As to MTM try nick at night. or whatever their other channel is TV land? Not sure if they are still showing them at 3 am. Worth taping a few. I have entire series of some shows. Bob Newhart (first), Get Smart, Andy Griffith, Gomer Pyle (don't think I have watched it), Dick Van Dyke, and I think MTM. Oh, and WKRP in Cincy. Not sure I have seen them all. Probably worth rewatching. Some classic stuff.

And wait until a defense stops our offense. Likely at ND. I can't imagine how many yards teams will rack up.

One thing is for sure. Caleb is gonna wear his arm out if SC has any chance to not finish 8-4. I sure hope Branch is back soon. We need him to explode for a few extra TDs to maybe keep some games close.

Gonna be quite the final 7 games.
