That kid must be as dumb as iron...doesn't he realize OSU has the Number One QB in the country joining the team next year and some thought he was the best in the country this year...Riley was after the kid hard? He might ride the pine or enter the Portal by the beginning of next season where he might have started at UW.....dumb ...of course we don't know where NIL fit in...

Not only is the Ohio St 2024 recruit #1 QB but the #1 overall player regardless of position.

And he is a legacy recruit for Ohio St.

Nobody really knows how the NIL fit into this but even though UW's NIL team is building a solid group for current players, they will not pay for HS recruits. Ohio St will.

Someone quipped the new 'WDWHA' is now the 'He will be in the portal within 2 years'.

Sure that stinks but that has happened before and will happen again. Ohio St didn't even know Kienholz existed up until a month ago when their committed QB flipped to Florida St. Ohio St probably didn't need to offer him much $ to commit

UW just offered another QB (from Oregon) that just decommitted from WSU but just visited Michigan St this past weekend and MSU has made it known it is engaging in buying HS players...

Used to be this time of year you’d get decoms because the fat little girlfriend would start crying about you leaving home and so your stay and play for state. Especially when mom joined the crying.

now? Team has a kid transfer. Leave early? They just go shopping for the next highest rated recruit and ask “ok how much will it cost?”

Yep. Unless the NIL thing changes pretty dramatically, that is how this is gonna go. Whatever a program has to offer is going to pale in comparison to what they're willing to pay. And there goes the neighborhood.

Pretty soon they’ll regulate it like they dl fantasy football. They’ll rank the various players by combine and season stats. And that ranking and position will come with it a salary and payments.

Guess this Kienholz kid wants to play big time college football. From what I read he had a good senior year and attracted attention from the big boys. made him realize he could aim higher.

Good for him. Let’s see if Dante continues the rounds of visits. He was probably disappointed to find out the ucla bag is light. Very light.
